I am not that afraid of dying, but I am terrified of dying with a pink teddy bear under my arm.

There's more pressure on women to be chirpy and perky.

Science is about nothing but getting at the truth, and anything that gets in the way of that diminishes, in my experience, the science.

Statistical physics or Newtonian physics gives way to quantum physics. Very unusual properties of matter emerge at that scale, and you can think about building products in a very different way. You can think about interfacing to biology in a very different way.

Just because you're right-wing shouldn't mean you don't believe climate science data. They're unrelated.

You have to know evolution to understand the natural world. And that cannot be a threat to people of faith. There's a serious problem if you are forced by your faith to reject the most well-supported theory in all of science.
