Learning to drive is a scary thing for a parent. I had to basically lie to get the keys when I was a kid.

Who knows, I have always lived one day at a time. Probably more adventure and excitement.

I have been able to travel all over the country and see many places that I probably never would have visited. I have also participated in many charity events for worthy causes.

The more you travel, the better you get at it. It sounds silly, but with experience you learn how to pack the right way. I remember one of my first trips abroad, travelling around Europe by rail, fresh out of high school. I brought all these books with me and a paint set. I really had too much stuff, so I've learnt to be more economical.

Extensive traveling induces a feeling of encapsulation, and travel, so broadening at first, contracts the mind.

I went to every sports contest for my kids. I turned off my cell phone at 8 P.M. I did have to travel relentlessly and had some nights at black tie events. But when I was home, I was home.
