Learning to drive is a scary thing for a parent. I had to basically lie to get the keys when I was a kid.

I love adventure, so I'm excited to be working on something new and making the transition from reality show contestant to host.

Who knows, I have always lived one day at a time. Probably more adventure and excitement.

In my lifetime, I've discovered a great many incredibly talented individuals. Some have achieved stardom. Simultaneously, I've seen many dreams shattered, egos destroyed and lives changed forever. The end destination may well be fame and fortune, but the road to stardom is littered with broken hearts.

My father worked in agriculture, and I got to travel round remote rural areas with him and see a bit of the landscape and people.

For me, to find a place that doesn't have an organized tour going to it is becoming more and more difficult. A lot of times it involves danger of a political nature - places where the adventure-travel trips can't go because they can't get any liability insurance.

It's like this - because I travel so much, I crave certain foods or certain things, like from certain places that I've been.
