I'm a professional world champion. Of course if you're a world champion, you're working harder than everybody else. You're making the commitment, and you're making the sacrifices. If it were easy, everybody would be able to do it. Everybody would be able to be world champion, but everybody can't be. Everybody doesn't have it in them.

I've had people in the family, male and female, impacted by heart disease. But people can prevent it.

I'm not one of those women who's like pro women. I'm an individual, and I'm in an individual sport. So I see everyone as individuals, not as male or female.

I still mess around and joke with my family and friends like I did when I was nine or 10. For me, nothing's changed. Sure, I play football, but I try to keep my life off the pitch as simple as possible.

People who were close to me - family and friends - they knew about my sexuality.

There is a right time for everything. There was a time when I wanted to settle down and have a family. I wanted to give time to my kids. I had worked for nearly 19 years when I got married.

For me everything in life is just basic - really simple, down-to-earth. I am a total family person.
