When I was a kid, I wanted to be a boy. I really had gender issues.

The economic dimension is very clear. I was at a dinner party, a mother got up, who's a very distinguished scientist, and said she had to get home and help her daughter with her homework. The two waiters, their faces changed. They were working their second jobs, they couldn't get home to help their kids with homework.

I was just that kid in the family that you put on the table and watch it dance around, and you're like, 'Oh, look at that hyper kid!'

I live in Las Vegas with my family, and I never realized what my parents would go through to get me to a five-minute audition.
