The people of California really like innovation.

Over the years, I really focused on doing the best job I could, working hard, getting great results, and working with my teams.

I'm the first person in my family to go to college, and I'm an immigrant. My aspirations coming out of college weren't particularly lofty. I wanted a good job with a good company.

Don't be afraid to take the tough jobs. You'll develop confidence in dealing with tough issues that will serve you for the rest of your career.

Care work contributes enormously to the well-being of our societies and to the sustainability of our economies.

Why - because as a oil and gas small business owner - I know if someone is not doing their job, they should not get paid. Again leadership by example.

Now, I'm back to my old ways: Needing to be the leader, needing to score.

There are a lot of leaders that talk about ending things like oppression - whether it's discrimination or getting a job - but the reason for all of this stuff is somebody's making a profit off our backs. That's the reason why black people were brought here in the first place. It was a profit motive.
