TV sort of picked up for me before my theater career did.

A part of my job, when I'm playing a character and approaching a role, is to rationalize and to not judge whatsoever.

Of course, every actor wants to play as many roles on the Richter scale as they can, and Rachel Koresh certainly is very different from Supergirl, but she shares a lot of the strength that Supergirl has.

Tapestry' was the first album my mom ever bought with her own money when she was 14. So, needless to say, it was a staple in the household, at least when my mom was choosing the music.

If I had any advice for my 16-year-old self, it would just be to stay strong, because acting is not an easy lifestyle, especially when you are starting out. That being said, it definitely makes it all worth it when it does happen.

This doesn't really apply to Rachel Koresh because she was born into the church, and that was all she had ever known, but I was fascinated by the psychology of how people get to that place - a place like Mount Carmel and an FBI stand-off for 51 days.

I'm definitely interested in doing movies. I've always focused more on acting than singing because that's where my true passion lies.

I fell in love with 19th-century Russian plays.

I don't think a solo album is me. I don't consider my voice to be that kind of a voice. Not that I don't love singing, but Broadway was my original dream. That's what I've always wanted to do.

Essentially, what I do on 'Supergirl' is I'm acting out comic vignettes. That is its own muscle to flex, and it is its own skill.
