There are more and more women writing. And there are more and more good male writers who are writing and who learned and decided it's worth writing for women.

I know. I'm lazy. But I made myself a New Years resolution that I would write myself something really special. Which means I have 'til December, right?

Political satire is a serious thing. In democratic newspapers throughout the world there are daily cartoons that often are not even funny, as is the case especially in many English-language newspapers. Instead, they contain a political message, and the artist takes full responsibility.

Remember, we really grew up separately; our life experience was very different because of segregation. So I think comedy is a good space to work those things out and educate everyone about the different experiences and different race groups in South Africa.

As for the world of fashion and celebrity, I have the usual interest in the human comedy, but the problems of depiction absorb me more.
