Doctors are not always right, but they are there to help.

I've been diagnosed with what's called vocal tension dysphonia. The muscles around my vocal chords kind of constrict my vocal chords from doing what they should do. It's kinda like being a body builder and you have muscles that are so large that they don't allow you to have flexibility, if that makes sense.

When we're in the studio, and we sing that first note on that record, you're committing to being a Backstreet Boy!

I don't come from a Hollywood family. I don't have Hollywood friends. I didn't have any connections.

I have absolutely no rituals or routines other than I work obsessively and think constantly about my work, to the dismay and discomfort of everyone I employ. And my family.

I am from L.A., my siblings are from L.A., but both my parents are from Guatemala, and I have a lot of family members from Mexico.

Our family story here is one that we're proud of, and that is that, as the ninth of 10 kids in our family, I was the first who, right out of high school, was able to go to four-year college... it was a big moment in our family's life.
