Growing up, we never really had money. If I wanted to get something, I had to go out and get a job.

Sometimes it feels like just yesterday that my ex and my baby boys were snuggling on the couch with me in our gorgeous Calabasas home. Other times, it feels like it was all a crazy dream.

It's not a hard job to be yourself.

So I did 'Celebrity Big Brother' and while I was locked in a house with crazy people I came out and Denise had actually gone to my agency and got with my agent. And my agent told me, hes like, 'Yeah, I have Denise Richards. That's so exciting, right?' I go, 'So basically you hired my competition. That's amazing.'

Although I will miss serving you in the Senate, I look forward to spending more time with family, especially my sweet wife Elaine, whose unwavering love and support made all of this possible.

The people on my mum's side of the family are atheist intellectuals who are ueber-proper. My dad's side of the family are missionaries who are more comfortable sitting around in sweatpants than they are in a five-star restaurant. But those two influences converged in my life.

I come from a food family, so you would think that I would be great at making baked beans or something, but I'm not.

We were always a middle-class family who took pride in our little set-up.
