Past Olympians have a continuing role within the Olympic family.

Too many athletes don't have the ability to set a goal and then carefully go towards it.

And then as I got older, and then I had my kids and everything, I began to appreciate a great Wednesday.

Experience is a really wonderful thing, and in a way we've been fortunate to have had so many ups and downs in our career, and a lot of struggles and a lot of sacrifices. But again, that's just an athlete's story.

I never got into politics for it to be a career.

Before the arrival of my first son, I gave up on the moribund business of magazine publishing, where I had long dreamed of a career, and went to work in advertising. That I could be paid great money to write was incredibly hard to believe.
