I love when I'm writing and I'm cringing because I know I'm doing something right.

As a writer, I wouldn't know how to not take things out of my life.

Both of my parents worked, so it was my way of helping around the house by making dinner for my family. I fell in love with it.

All I need is to wake up in the morning, go to the gym, feel healthy, get to work, be creative, come back home to the kids.

We need sex education in schools, but we need it at home first. We need parents to learn the names of the teachers who are teaching their children. We need families to question day-care centers, to question other children and their own as to what goes on.

We need comprehensive immigration reform so that we're not creating this cycle of poverty and depression and everything that comes with separating a family.
