Netanyahu has taken on the toughest job in the State of Israel, and as someone who truly gives of himself, I consider him a patriot.

In a place of pain, there is space for everyone.

It's unreasonable to me that there's a government in which the culture minister attacks the institutions she's responsible for. The justice minister attacks the institutions she's responsible for. The internal security minister attacks the institutions he's responsible for. The Cabinet attacks the IDF, and the prime minister attacks everyone.

As someone who prepared our forces to deal with the multiplicity of operational and strategic challenges our country faces, I am confident about Israel's capability to defend itself.

I think the one thing this picture shows that's new is the psychological disproportion of the kids' demands on the parents. Parents are often at fault, but the kids have some work to do, too.

I know girlfriends of mine who, when they were approaching pregnancy and starting a family, consistently went through a period right beforehand that was a last gasp kind of thing where they just wreak havoc. They fall apart, in a profound way, because there's some awareness that that's the last time they can do that for awhile.

I've got some great guy friends. They can start out as crushes. But when you realize something isn't going to happen, you make a choice whether or not the friendship is worth it. And it usually is. Then you can laugh about the fact that you used to have a crush on him or he had one on you.

As a child, we visited the San Juan Islands during the summer. Kayaking, big family meals, playing on the beach - great memories!
