If you look at my career, I kind of got progressively better and better and better. I came closer to the top.

Once in a great while I miss the racing, the feeling of winning. That rush. That adrenaline.

I discovered Boulder not through cycling but skiing. I was recruited by the university for the ski team, and in my opinion, it's the best place for skiing - you have this super-light, fluffy champagne snow.

Boulder was my U.S. base for the better part of 20 years, and it will always have a special place in my heart.

Parents can shape a child, but a great teacher can, too.

At 16, when I was at Henry M. Gunn High School, I had a crush on the English teacher, and my grades improved dramatically. This great school had only 400 students, mostly children of Stanford professors, and it was more usual to have classes under one of the oak trees dotted around the campus than in the classroom.

They say I do not have the qualifications to be president, that I do not have education. Well, I would never divide the Liberian people.

As we develop and get quicker with technology in America, it's like we're downgrading if you look at the investment in education... that's the thing that worries me.
