The one thing that made me somewhat of an animal is I didn't have anything growing up.

It's a big move from the 'Tough Man' circuit to professional boxing. When I turned pro, I had to play catch-up and was fighting almost twice a month until I had more than 20 fights under my belt.

I was invited to play at the University of Missouri, and I played there for a year, but when all of the talented people are plucked and put in one place, it's scary; it's tough.

The reason why I play 'Madden' is because in 'Madden,' I can control everything, and in the game of life and the game of football, you can't. It's kind of like an outlet.

Basketball has consumed me since the age of 7 or 8. I don't know what I would do without it.

That's football. It's like in any walk of life: you get some people who are going to try more than others.
