When you lose a couple of times, it makes you realize how difficult it is to win.

I never hanker after the past - I prefer to devote myself to new tasks.

You cannot compare your athletic achievement to the importance of children and giving them a safe environment in which to grow up and enjoy life.

I never look back, I look forward.

I think traditions change and modify with each generation. With new members joining the family, their customs and traditions have to be respected and combined with the exiting traditions. And the children that follow are part of that new evolving tradition and, as they grow, will have input that will, in turn, continue to evolve that tradition.

The message of transformation and how we all can live from our heart, not just from our head, was a very important message for me to learn in my own life.

Do we value privacy in any real way? Thinking about blogs, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace... all these suggest we value exposure rather more. And instead of challenging this transformation, as they are supposed to - certainly at the more thoughtful edges of the art - novelists are buying into it wholesale.

There was concern whether SCI FI would want the show back with all the recent changes. But now, the changes have made it feel fresh, like starting over.
