In mine opinion, love is fitter than fear, gentleness better than beating, to bring up a child rightly in learning.

Young children were sooner allured by love, than driven by beating, to attain good learning.

Learning teacheth more in one year than experience in twenty.

Let the master praise him, and say, 'Here ye do well.' For, I assure you, there is no such whetstone to sharpen a good wit, and encourage a will to learning, as is praise.

When it comes to the fearless life, the divine gives nothing freely... save to those who freely give themselves to discovering the truth about their own fearless selves.

So if I have two pieces of cake, do I have twice as good an experience as the first piece of cake? One of the things I've found in life is that the first piece of cake is the best.

As a child, my sister and I had very fruitful imaginations, and I would think that I wanted to be one profession or I'd want to have this experience in life. I realized it's not because I actually wanted to be a Coast Guard helicopter rescue pilot or something like that - I just enjoyed the idea of playing it.

To make a difference is just... I think... the purpose of what life is.
