This is my idea of heaven, coming home and watching the news.

I live in the moment. The moment is the most important thing. That's my entire philosophy: Make the best of the good moments.

I never had an easy time making friends in the past, for many reasons. I didn't go into therapy for nothing.

I can't dwell on past mistakes.

As an employee, you can't work for someone forever.

There is often better opportunity attached to fame, at least career-wise. But it's a flash. You can't control it. You can't depend on it.

Because I sidestepped all the stereotypical roles, in a way I've made a career out of not being Asian - a lot of my roles weren't written as Asian - so there's an impulse in me that wants to take a U-turn and play a very grounded, real Asian character, maybe an immigrant.

One day, I just hit a point where I was like, 'What am I going to do with my life, with my career?' I have all of these little things going on, but what am I going to really do? And for me, I saw longevity in acting.
