I feel very happy that the society has matured and parents have opened up to their girls studying more and becoming working professionals and becoming bread winners for themselves.

I have no issues with any co-star of mine, male or female.

I started learning Bharatnatyam from the age of three. I have also learnt folk dance.

I am an only child, so not only my father, even my mother is also very supportive of my career.

People put limitations on their creativity, believing they have to rely on what they know and what they have done.

You don't have to make something in order to retain your identity as an artist or a writer or a creative person. A lot of people think they have to be producing in order to maintain that identity.

Doing that, then doing a lot of theater, which I love. Doing guest stars, did two independent films that are going around to all these festivals. Both of them are going to be at the Lake Tahoe Film Festival.

Girls shouldn't throw away their lives. They have the opportunity to not have 25 children - to make something of themselves, and use their brains and creativity. I'm just thrilled about that.
