I like to look at 'A Place in the Sun' every now and get inspired by it.

A barrier for me - which has been both a strength and a weakness - has been my taste. The kind of things I'm interested in aren't always mainstream.

The majority of our fans are dudes. And the chicks you do see at our shows are probably there because of a dude. Slayer shows are nothing but sausage fests. We always joke that we really need to write some love songs or something.

The way I toe the line with comedy is I run jokes past people.

It's hard for a comic to be joking when your lines can't be funny.

I decided I'd try my hand as a stand-up comedian, as I loved making people laugh, and appeared at the Latitude Festival, won the 2007 Laughing Horse New Act of the Year, and was a nominee for winner of the 2007 So You Think You're Funny competition.
