I do feel like plus-size fashion is changing, but it's slowly changing. It's not growing as fast as we would all like.

Widening a garment or making it larger is not understanding the real curves of a plus size women.

You can't continue to reflect on the past.

It's so important for me to share my story and inspire other women to feel comfortable in their skin and to know that your size has zero impact on the goals you set for yourself.

You can always tell gifted and highly intelligent people as they always turn to the past. Any young person who knows anything that happened before 1980, or 1990, or 2000 for that matter, is immediately someone who is intelligent, probably creative, maybe a writer. Nobody who is drawn to the past and learning about the past is not gifted.

Amsterdam lives and breathes creativity. One moment you walk into a building from the 17th century, and the next you find yourself in a hub of creative start-up companies.

The writing is the springboard for your intuitive stuff and then you see, maybe a colour of what you want to achieve. Then you bring in the technique you've learnt. But when you're on film, you're not always in control of that. That's what makes me believe in a kind of collective unconscious, a sort of experience you draw on.

I love being on the road with others, with a camera, but also being alone writing poetry.
