I am thankful that 'Jhalak' made me a professional dancer now from just a 'barat' dancer.

I respect women but do not necessarily believe that women need to compete with men.

I love period dramas - be it romance or philosophy.

Direction is something that interests me. Even while shooting, I always have conversations with the director to get a better understanding of shooting technicalities.

The few people who ask to have their photographs with me, I almost always say yes, except for a few circumstances, like when my family is around.

It's like the old thing: The parents stay together for the kids, but the kids know that you don't want to be together. The kids would rather you be happy - and separate - than together and miserable. I don't want my kid to grow up around two parents who just don't work.

The whole idea of the suburbs was to create these family-friendly places where people could flock and have more control over their existences, and keep things very controlled and placid and keep outside forces at bay.

I have great respect for the LDS church - their commitment to family and taking care of each other is exemplary. I just don't believe the tenets of the faith that they believe.
