It has yet to be proven that intelligence has any survival value.

New ideas pass through three periods: 1) It can't be done. 2) It probably can be done, but it's not worth doing. 3) I knew it was a good idea all along!

This is the first age that's ever paid much attention to the future, which is a little ironic since we may not have one.

Sometimes I think we're alone in the universe, and sometimes I think we're not. In either case the idea is quite staggering.

It is the public that is illiterate in science and math, a lazy press, and environmental advocacy groups that manufacture fear for misconceptions about energy.

You know, to preserve our job-friendly climate the Texas legislature didn't raise taxes this last legislative session while balancing their budget and maintaining their reserves - and might I add that our budget leaves $6 billion dollars in a rainy day fund?

Without banging a drum or getting on a soap box, there are always ebbs and tides in this country in terms of the political and social climate that we might be dealing with at any given moment.

If we all think only of our own interests, we are headed for collective disaster - just look at what we are doing to our planet's climate.
