It is very important to be confident and strong even if you lose, because you know there are tournaments coming up next, and you have to be prepared for it.

Ups and downs will be happening; coming to the final and losing by a point or so should not matter.

Women's badminton has become so competitive.

You have to keep working all the time. How much you learn, there is always room for learning; you will have to keep improving all the time.

I believe that tracks speak to me. Some tracks make me write certain music or make me feel sad or inspire me to write a sad love song. Each track has its feeling to me.

For me, I guess the main motivation is the satisfaction of finally understanding some tricky mathematical concept or phenomenon and then explaining it to others.

When I go back to seek inspiration - whether it be from Chuck Berry, Howlin' Wolf, the Beatles, Hank Williams, Ray Charles or Bob Dylan - it's from the performance. Those artists are in the studio playing their instrument and singing. There's no going back and redoing the vocals.

Inspiration may be a form of super-consciousness, or perhaps of subconsciousness I wouldn't know. But I am sure it is the antithesis of self-consciousness.
