I had trouble getting jeans when I was growing up. I had little skinny legs and this booty that came out of nowhere.

Writing is the best way to get your mind clear. It's also a great way to explain your past or what you hope for the future.

I obviously want a safe world for everybody if we're getting really deep, but my safe and happy place is always going to be music.

The first time I got pregnant, I was a young girl - I was 17 years old. Although I knew right away that I wanted to keep my child, being a pregnant teen was an extremely scary experience for me. Luckily, my family and friends were very supportive and were there for me every step of the way.

When I was fourteen years old, our family drove all the way from Vancouver to Newfoundland and back. I've been all across the great land of Canada. I absolutely love the Maritimes, and I'm very excited to go back, particularly in the fall when it's one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

And so much of my life has been about returning home and longing for home, wanting my children to know about my roots. And I thought I can't be the only one to feel this way so I thought it would be an interesting topic to explore.

I always wanted to go into the military or something like that - my whole family, all my friends are either Air Force, Navy, or Marines.
