I still carry the residue of the pressure I felt as a child to read and appreciate the right books. Growing up, I never allowed myself to read beach reading. I was always plowing through Ford Madox Ford's 'Good Solider' or something I wasn't equipped to understand.

It's kind of major, learning to drive. I feel like it kicked up other stuff in my life.

How you start the movie is critical. And how often you feel that there's no reason for how it's starting.

I've run into more people walking in L.A. than if I drove. Because you stand out so much if you walk. People from my past have stopped their cars and said, 'Hey!' But if I was in a car, they never would've seen me.

ISIL, AQ, now have the ability to literally reach into our homeland through social media, through the Internet, to recruit and inspire. It makes for a more complicated homeland security environment. And so it requires a whole of government approach, not just military and law enforcement, homeland security, aviation security, and the like.

One of the things that has benefited me in my career is being part of the new age of technology: the ability growing up to get on the Internet at friends' houses and go on YouTube and watch videos of great players.

Technology moves so quickly; you can't get comfortable with the business you have today because technology will progress.

Fortunately I can say that social media has treated me pretty well. I've been exempt from a lot of the mean comments.
