Growing up in the spotlight was quite possibly the worst for my self-esteem. I had a hard time finding confidence within myself.

Working with Sofia Vergara and growing up with her was great because she was, you know, a really amazing, curvy role model for me. She helped me learn to accept the way I looked and love it and dress for it and feel good about myself.

Female empowerment really is important to me. I'm a big nerd of the books from the 15th Century and 16th Century, when the men had all the power and the women had none of it.

I love learning.

We went from a world where almost nobody knew anything about computers to a world where almost all of us are computer geeks for a huge fraction of our day. And I'd like to see that happen with the digital world of biological molecules, too.

Many of the problems that families face can be solved with great technology, design, and distribution.

I find that creative streak I think often leads in programmers to be good predictors of where culture as a whole is going to go. And that is where I think I've tried over the years to in some ways use my customers as a filter or a predictor of where technology as a whole is going to go. Or where the world as a whole is going to go.

Flame mails and offensive Internet activities are not classy. It doesn't fit with our culture here, where we respect the gender, race, opinions, ear-lobe apparel and choice of clothing of all employees.
