I think that ballet and skating definitely go hand in hand, especially growing up at Ballet West, which is an incredible academy.

As a kid growing up, I didn't want to tell any of my classmates I did figure-skating because I knew they'd be like, 'Oh, you're a skater, you're gay, blah blah blah.' So I kept it to myself. Once I started getting to more of an elite level, I didn't really care what people thought, though.

I like the challenge and instant gratification of landing a new jump or learning a new element. That made me fall in love with the sport.

Half of learning a new element is just getting over the fear of doing it. Once you mentally prepare yourself enough to do the jump, that is really half the battle.

My father's in the military, so we moved a lot. I was born in Jersey but grew up in Maryland until we moved to L.A. to pursue my acting career. Music came into it after that.

I am not going to disconnect from Bollywood or sacrifice my career in the industry for international projects. Everything began here, and I respect that.

I think Dr Dre really evolved and really is a great role model for young people that have had to survive and thrive against all odds. He was able to turn his life around and create an empire and become a successful family person.

Family to me is foundation. It's the people that you can call on whether you love them or hate them. When push comes to shove, they're there for you, and that's kind of how this family is.
