We want to win a World Series for Detroit. That's our goal.

The Triple Crown, or any of that stuff, is not my focus. My focus is on winning. I just hope people can be happy with that.

I recall waking to the realisation that I was the best table tennis player under 17 in north Manchester and parts of Bury. The satisfaction lasted for half an hour before I saw into the nothingness of things.

I come from playing sports. I compete, so I gotta be better than I was last year. I gotta get better, and that better gotta come from just growing. From learning new stuff to working on it, experience it in life, and failing.

I love playing sports. I'm overly eager and aggressive and not very skilled, so it leads to many small injuries.

Some of today's athletes do not have that kind of pride. They left school at 16, have never had a job in their life and are getting Lottery funding, earning money as an athlete.
