In Long Island, people care about how much money you have. Even I did when I was growing up. I never wanted kids to see my mom's house because I was embarrassed that they'd tell everyone, 'Oh, Madison's mom is poor!' And she was definitely far from poor.

I truly believe that diversity is so important, and I hope that I can use my platform to encourage and inspire other aspiring female artists.

It's important to drive your own ship, and it's your career, so you might as well take it by the reins.

I'm very much focused on my career.

So many women have had to make these sacrifices - putting off having kids, letting their husbands down - for some career opportunity. Mine just happened to be covering the woman trying to become the first woman president.

If you want something, work hard for it, go after it. I can't worry about all the 'no's, because I believe there's a yes, and I've been very fortunate to find those in my career and made the most of those opportunities.

Just for you to know, people, models, are very smart. We're investing money in the right way, and, you know, a modeling job I'm taking as a businesswoman. So it's not fun for me; it's work.

My marriage and my career are my two top priorities.
