If I feel the part is right, and I know that the producers and the director want me, I'd go for broke. Always.

Actors are trusting souls, and we must go by gut-level instinct, even after our agents and business managers weigh all the odds.

I thought I wanted to work in music production for a while. I worked for a film producer. Then I was given the opportunity to open a bar in New York. So, I was like, 'You know what, I'm going to give it a shot.'

I was born in the '60s and grew up in the '70s - not exactly the best decade for food in British history. It was horrendous. It was a time when, as a nation, we excelled in art and music and acting and photography and fashion - all creative skills... all apart from cooking.

Any system that sees aesthetics as irrelevant, that separates the artist from his product, that fragments the work of the individual, or creates by committee, or makes mincemeat of the creative process will, in the long run, diminish not only the product but the maker as well.

Other than much needed infrastructure development, local administrations in Papua must encourage entrepreneurship and creativity.
