For girls growing up, sometimes I think they get the wrong idea for what women should look like.

On the one hand, faith is a profoundly personal contact with God, which touches me in my innermost being and places me in front of the living God in absolute immediacy in such a way that I can speak with Him, love Him, and enter into communion with Him.

On the whole, I now see my work as being an expression of my spiritual life and, because I look at it that way, I have a different centre. I go through the stress and pressure, but I think I'm lucky because I come from a different source point.

I believe I was born for this, to tell people about the Lord. I just wanted to find the best way that I could do it, and music, God graced me to be able to do it, and that was the way that I chose to be effective and tell people that the Lord loves them.

I've been nothing several times. But it's my faith in myself and in my father that comes back to me and makes me get back up off my butt and be something worth being proud of.
