Everyone has this universal understanding of roommate drama.

I've learned to let things roll off my back.

I had a bunch of different hair colors. I was experimenting to see what I liked. It started off brown, then I did red, then I got really, really blonde!

I couldn't relate to kid stuff. 'Jimmy doesn't like me!' Who cares? I was worried we didn't have gas money or food. Those were my concerns.

The Walking Dead' has allowed me to experience success and remain myself and develop some of the closest bonds, both professionally and personally, that I could ever have imagined. It's taught me a lot of life lessons.

Recreating the experience of, say, bereavement in my own head is pretty rough. I was used to switching off from emotions every day of my working life as a journalist, but in fiction, you have to feel it 100%, or else it's a flat experience for the reader.

What is the truth? Is it what you experience? Is it what I experience? Or is there some objective truth in between?

I think there's something about having a purpose in life and a sense of belonging that is more important than money for any human being.
