The older I get, the happier I am with the way my career has gone. Although, in many ways, it's been through no design of my own.

It's one of the things I love about my job: it's my job to help a director tell the story, to just be willing to help.

It's the writers' job to make it positive. It's my job to make it real.

When I was a kid, I played 'Super Mario Bros' and 'Megaman 2' and '3' for hours and hours, trying to convince my mother they were good for me because they helped my hand-eye coordination. They influenced a whole generation of people to make computers what they are now, through problem-solving and so on.

However, if we examine the Canadian scene closely enough, we can see signs of this physical and spiritual rot settling into a number of our Canadian urban centres with a troubling spill-over into many of our more rural areas.

If you look at everything I do - even in 'Boo!' there's a message, and it's always 'faith, family, forgiveness.' That's the greatest gift that I've been given. I can get a message to the very people I grew up with, the millions who love what I do.

I love a song that will usher in the very presence of God. Then there's no Andrae; there's no fabulous band, there's no greatness of ours. I've had hundreds of concerts like that, and that's what I try to achieve.

I do believe that Muslims and Christians and Jews pray to the same God. And yet they understand who God is in significantly different ways.
