Hits, flops, and everything in between - I got to do a lot of different things as an actor, had a lot of good learning experiences. So I think I've done reasonably okay for myself, and God has given me more than what I've asked for.

I think playing a comic role is the toughest job for an actor; to put glycerin and cry is easy, but to make people laugh is difficult.

I've done second leads in movies, I've done really small roles, too. Other actors never bother me, I believe I'm decent enough to make my own place.

Kind of the exhausting thing about doing pure comedy, or something that's broader, is you're kind of a slave to the laugh. If it's not funny, then there's not much point in doing it. The kind of ueber-objective is to make people laugh. You always have to have that in the back of your mind, 'Eh, I've got to figure out a way to make this funny.'

You can tell a lot about a man from his hands. If they don't have any scars or calluses on them, you might as well assume they cry at romantic comedy films, too.

From the ages of 12 to 35 my body, not my mind, was my primary currency. My ideas, my humor, my curiosity - none of those were valued as much as my body, which preceded me into almost every room.

I love comedy, and I think that's sort of what comes naturally to me.
