When I was growing up I always wanted to be a waitress. My sister opened a restaurant in Mississippi, and I went down there and was a waitress for a few days. Let me tell you, I got it out of my system.

As a child, I grew up the son of German immigrant parents, so I grew up being teased and called 'Fritz' at school. When I married my wife and went to live in Vienna, I was teased for being a Brit.

The Colbys aren't a dynasty yet, but since the show is not called 'Dynasties,' just 'Dynasty,' we thought that was really interesting that it's about how this other family is going to become competition for the Carringtons.

I enjoy being with my family and hunting with my children.
