New Jersey shaped who and what I am. Growing up in Jersey gave you all the advantages of New York, but you were in its shadow. Anyone who's come from here will tell you that same story.

What drew me to politics in the first place was the fact that I wanted to have a place to take a stand and use my voice to express what I believed in. But I've no longer got any political aspirations. I feel that as a politician, fifty per cent of people would hate you before you even left the house.

The only thing I like more than my wife is my money, and I'm not about to lose that to her and her lawyers, that's for damn sure.

My health and my family are the core of my being.

I always picture my grandkids looking at their grandfather and saying, 'My grandfather was the last or the first to do something.' There's nothing like setting goals and watching yourself get there, accomplishing that goal and putting your name to a part of history.

That's the danger of having too much success. You lose that magic, that feeling of not being in control, which I feel now, it's too controlled.

It's up to you to define your own brand of leadership and your own version of success.

If success is about winning the league, there will always be 19 disappointed clubs.
