I'm getting to a point where everything is becoming streamlined in my life. I'm learning how to stand onstage for two hours and play in front of thousands of people as if I am completely in the moment every moment.

I've figured out my learning curve. I can look at something and somehow know exactly how long it will take for me to learn it.

I'm singing what I want to sing based on the emotion of what that day feels like. That's what comes out of my mouth and guitar. That impacts people. They know anything can happen.

Nothing feels worse than having to break the stage down before the performance, and I mean nothing.

Social activism has gone mainstream. A new generation of philanthropic leaders such as Bill and Melinda Gates, and Bono are providing inspiration, guidance, and billions of dollars through their global foundations.

The blues are what I've turned to, what has given me inspiration and relief in all the trials of my life.

It's weird: I don't really know where I pull my inspiration from. I think it's N.E.R.D.

I believe that God's dream is that we be successful in our careers, and that we be able to send our kids to college. I don't mean that everyone is going to be rich, and I preach a lot on blooming where you're planted. But I don't have the mindset that money is a bad thing.
