It's the trials and tribulations that really test a person, and coming through those difficulties is what shapes a person's character.

I feel confident that no player can step on court against me and feel confident that they will come out the winner. Every match I take part in, I have an equal shot of coming through as the winner.

What is best to hope for and what everyone is working towards is to elevate the quality of women's sport and to bring it to a level where it is seen as something that is very entertaining, something to be admired, to be looked up to, to put it in that level playing field as a product to be sold equal to the men.

I strive to get better and better in understanding how the world works.

I've started a company, called Tall Girl Productions, and we've got our first project that is purely producing, not writing, with a writer named Evan Daugherty. It's for NBC, it's called 'Afterthought,' and it's science fiction-ish. That's fun.

That's what I want to do, ultimately: figure out a way to get the world engaged with discovery and protecting these ancient sites.

My inbox is now bulging with touching emails from young women scientists who have been kind enough to write and thank me for inspiring them and helping them on their way. It has also been of great comfort to me to see many women at the top of science testifying for my record in supporting women scientists.

Ethics is not routinely taught to science students except in medicine, and I think it should be.
