When I was playing for Real Zaragoza, I had the responsibility that I was playing for the club that I support and that I love. When I was playing for Athletic Bilbao, I was feeling the responsibility to play for the most special philosophy in the world, which is only playing Basque people.

I am always open to learning. I am always open to adapting myself to a new role and a new position.

I would never have left Athletic if it hadn't been for a club like United. I left a different, unique club, with a special philosophy and incredible people.

If I am on the pitch I'm very calm because I know I've done everything to be there. That's the way to be and the way I'll feel until the last day of my career.

I'm a football guy. Baseball, I enjoy it at playoff time.

The competition has improved tremendously. In 2003, I could teach a guy how to play poker in an hour and he could win some money. Today, it would take days. The game has gotten so much tougher. So I will spend my time with my family and play when I can.

I grew up in Hockley, Birmingham. It was an environment I'll never forget in terms of playing football on local pitches, kicking a ball around in the front garden and all over the house. It was a positive place to live, and somewhere, that gave me the right grounding for where I am today.

I was always blessed growing up with opportunities and access to facilities, equipment, and playing with my brothers in the backyard to be the best athlete I could be.
