The fun stuff comes when someone is not so strict on sticking to the script. You're allowed the spontaneity, and great moments can happen.

I'm not sitting dwelling about the past or stressing or fretting about something in the future.

That's something that is almost accidental at the beginning of a career, but the more you write, the more trained you are to recognize the little signals.

The thing I try to tell people who are just starting in the business is to listen to yourself, trust yourself, and be kind to yourself. And do the work to cultivate who you are and what your point of view is. Don't try to be like anybody else. That's what will make you an interesting artist.

I was very fortunate to have a career like this. I wanted to put a lot back for the community.

This may sound a little harsh, but I don't care about my career. Really, I don't like actors who are always planning what they're going to do next or always worrying about doing something that will go against the image they've created. To me, that's almost like an attack of narcissism.
