When television became popular, reality shows started coming up and with such reality shows, people got a platform to show their talent.

Growing up, I spent a lot of time in the darkened theatres.

I used to assist my chachaji in his artificial jewellery business. One day, I got the opportunity to visit V. Shantaram's film set to supply some jewellery. Curiosity got the better of me and before I knew it, I was playing an extra. Soon, roles with dialogues followed and the rest as they say, is history.

For me, there is no specific place which I need to go to pray since I believe in one god.

When 'Family Guy' started, we wanted to make it more like a sitcom. And there was very little music.

When I speak of family, I immediately think of a support system who can give you a reality check when you need it: a mirror reflection of myself. A lot of times, us within the industry, we can put this bubble around ourselves and create what a show is supposed to look like and sound like, and we're seeing so much content. The best compliment is, 'I finally found something to watch with my family,' or, 'This is how I really feel, and I can't believe they're showing this on television.'

A little secret - I'm the child of a shrink. I am; my mom's a shrink, and my father's a lawyer. So believe me, I analyze and negotiate. That is a huge amount of the director's work, especially when you're working with people who - such a variety.
