I use this app that keeps my handicap. As professionals, we don't keep handicaps. But as a kid, I was so excited about seeing how low I could get my handicap. So that's one app I really do use a lot.

It's about the learning, because obviously I learn more when I fail than when I win.

At the end of my career, am I going to say I did well, but I didn't give it my all? I'd be very, very angry with myself if I didn't give 100 percent. If I gave my all and I got to whatever point in the world, I could look back and at least I say I did the best I could.

Just looking when I was little at pictures of cars and houses that I wanted - it gives you a certain motivation, it gives you a goal.

What kind of pupil was I? Well, I was a swot, but I was allowed to be without any ill effects by my contemporaries because I was excused from games due to my asthma. So being a swot was something to compensate for not being to play football.

My mum worked in a grocery shop and played football, and my dad worked with cars, a sales director, and he played to almost a professional level. His dad played as well.

A friend got attacked outside a nightclub just for being deaf. I stuck up for him but ended up getting in a bit of a trouble myself. I played with a tag at Stocksbridge. I had a little curfew. Luckily, it didn't stop me playing football. Being put on a tag, I could have lost playing football again.
