Political institutions are fair game in political debates in a democracy. Nothing is more fair game, in fact, than political matters of public concern.

We must look to an open, tolerant, inclusive England, which embraces the values of a Britain that still leads the world in terms of an open democracy, as well as an understanding of the needs for responsibilities and obligations to run alongside the affirmation of individual rights.

It is up to the government to keep the government's secrets.

If the government mandates anything with a price tag on it, then it ought to fund the project.
