Think about the past to learn, but move forward.

I have no agenda. I'll play anywhere. All I need is a reason to believe that it's a good place for me and that I'm wanted, and I'm coming.

When you get to the big leagues, the talent pool is on such a level playing field, you have to find a way to separate yourself from incredibly talented guys. Especially when you go through the injuries that I've had, you come back, and you might not physically be able to do some of the things you used to do.

Singing in public makes me very uncomfortable.

I struggled to learn basic skills, get a grip on markets, find my own unique voice, create story lines and come up to speed with the industry. I struggled for ten years before having any success.

I learned a lot from not having success, and realizing when you do have success, how hard it is to maintain it, and what you have to do to maintain it.

True success has more components than one sentence or idea can contain.

After the success of my first album and the success of 'Flow Joe' kind of faded, I was struggling to make some money and make ends meet.
