My philosophy is, unless you're sick and need help, why bother?

I have visited Australia several times, and I always try to make a point of going to Melbourne because it's almost my favorite city there, Melbourne and Sydney. But I shouldn't say that because I haven't been everywhere-and I'm very fond of Perth too!

People are intrigued by fame, power and wealth and I think Hollywood is the only place where you get all three together.

I don't believe in writing anything that I don't know about or haven't researched about personally. I like to transport the reader to places, and in order to do that I have to do the research.

Every brilliant book I read is an influence and an inspiration. As is every brilliant movie I watch and every brilliant box set.

I find inspiration in each and every person that I cross paths with. Every human being I interact with offers me a significant insight on some aspect of life.

Sometimes you feel all alone. You come out of a meeting, and something sexist has been said to you: That movie will never be made with that female lead. And you think, 'How am I ever gonna get another job?' When you hear other women having the same experiences, it makes you feel like, 'Well, I'm gonna keep going, and we're gonna fight this system.'

Armageddon is not around the corner. This is only what the people of violence want us to believe. The complexity and diversity of the world is the hope for the future.
