I'm, like, forever a teenage girl in a way. No matter how hard I try not to be, that's just what I am. All I care about is boys and shopping.

I find it sad that people think it's a political, gender-bending thing, because, really, I'm just singing about guys. There's a million guys singing about girls, and no one makes a big deal of it.

Women that hate other women - that's the worst.

My aim was to dismantle this false history that men created punk, because they didn't. And they were certainly never the best at it.

Can dancing change your life? Yes. It's changed mine. What I've learned is, it's not about how good you are technically. It's about your soul coming through. It's about having fun.

I think its time to change and balance the environment and growth. If we don't do that, we're going to suffer a hard landing one day very soon.

Do we value privacy in any real way? Thinking about blogs, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace... all these suggest we value exposure rather more. And instead of challenging this transformation, as they are supposed to - certainly at the more thoughtful edges of the art - novelists are buying into it wholesale.

It's important to air your concerns and fears with someone you trust. When you're honest about how you can change and grow, and where your weaknesses are, then you open the door for improvement and change.
