With certain ideas, you can predict commercial success. So with a 'Toy Story 3' or a 'Cars 2,' you know the idea is more likely to have financial success. But if you go down that path too far, you become creatively bankrupt because you're just trying to repeat yourself.

Periods of tranquility are seldom prolific of creative achievement. Mankind has to be stirred up.

In an industry that celebrates personal sacrifice as a symbol of commitment, you might not consider 'making sure everyone gets home for dinner' to be a mark of success, but creating and maintaining that culture is one of the things I'm most proud of.

Success comes in doing the hard work - not breaking each other down, but building each other up. I don't expect any less from myself.
