Back in the day, when the D.J. would be playing a record, I'd be on the mic trying to hype up the crowd. So once Public Enemy became a rap group, I decided that that's the role that I wanted to take on. I wanted to be the one that was hyping, because I've always been good at it. I can hype up any crowd.

What I'm trying to do is put back into rap music what's missing - which is the good part, the fun part, that party part.

Doing scripted acting is a challenge to me. I can't remember things too good, so remembering lines is a challenge to your boy.

The price of every thing rises and falls from time to time and place to place; and with every such change the purchasing power of money changes so far as that thing goes.

I've always earned my own money and enjoy being independent. It's how I was brought up.

My favourite authors are John Grisham and Jeffrey Archer. Grisham rapidly established himself and now completely owns the legal space of fiction writing, something I want to do in financial space. I like Archer because he keeps his readers engaged: every chapter is a page turner, and he keeps his writing simple.

I'm not the guy to get big record company budgets. My budget is Britney Spears' catering money.
