Growing up, I was going to school for broadcast journalism. I wanted to be Oprah.

Learning some of the names and countries of my subscribers and what life is like for them is really cool.

I had a moment where I had reached 200,000 followers. At the time, a lot of people would get to that number on YouTube, and they'd stop growing. I was really scared because I didn't want that to happen to me, so when I reached 200,000 subscribers, I was like, 'Eva, you have to do this. You have to work hard and push past this number.'

I was going to college for broadcast journalism because I knew whatever career path I would take, I knew I wanted to be talking to as many people as possible and inspiring as many people as possible, particularly girls. When I was in college, I was like, 'I know I'm going to be on camera a lot when I'm older if I fall into my dream job.'

Everyone is an entrepreneur. The only skills you need to be an entrepreneur: an ability to fail, an ability to have ideas, to sell those ideas, to execute on those ideas, and to be persistent so even as you fail you learn and move onto the next adventure.

Travel like a pro, not like a hobo. That's my motto.

Often, I'll do a quick workout in my hotel room consisting of exercises for the legs, glutes, abs, and arms with my own body weight. Also, I always have a jump rope, a medicine ball I can inflate, and a band in my suitcase. It's a great kit to have for travel.

The reason I loved working at Boeing was because I loved the idea of air travel as a way of bringing people and cultures together - because when we come together as people and cultures, we realize that we are not that different after all, and when we realize that we are not that different after all, the world becomes a better place.
